Namratadevi qualified as a teacher with the British Wheel of Yoga under the guidance of Sara Delamore in 2000 and during her training she was fortunate to come into contact with Swami Pragyamurti Saraswati.

Inspired by The Satyananda Tradition she went on to do further study. ‘BWY Yoga for Children’ with Vedanta / Veronica Burningham, ‘Bihar Study 1&2 with Jayadhara / Jane Cluley, ‘Study and Sadhana Course’ with Swami Vedantananda Saraswati and ‘Yoga Nidra’ with Swami Pragyamurti Saraswati. During 2007 she completed the Satyananda Integration Course with Swami Vedantananda Saraswati in London and Portugal and this concluded with a visit to Rikhia Peeth, India, in December 2007 for the twelfth and final Sat Chandi festival. During her visit she was able to study 'Tattwa Shuddhi and Kriya Course with Swami Sumitrananda Saraswati and Swami Satyadharma Saraswati.

Namratadevi continues to have contact with her teaches and has organised regular weekends and day programmes for them to bring Satyananda Yoga to Cleveland and North Yorkshire. She is also a Complementary Therapist and BWY Foundation Course Tutor and her special interests are personal empowerment and development. She teaches yoga to children in nurseries and schools, patients within a mental health hospital and a variety of community classes.
