
Swami Muktidharmananda Saraswati
has been dedicated to Satyananda Yoga for close to 40 years. He met Swami
Niranjanananda in 1972 and his Guru, Paramahamsa Satyananda in 1975 in his
native Colombia, South America. From 1980 -1996, Swami Muktidharma lived in
India under the direct guidance of his Guru receiving training and
experience in the depths of yoga. In 1996 a new phase of sannyas life
began, which led Swami Muktidharma to New Zealand where he is Yoga Acharaya
and cofounder of Anahata Yoga Retreat. He specializes in working
therapeutically with people, training residents in yogic lifestyle and has
published insightful articles on different topics of the yoga science.
In service of his Guru, Swami Muktidharma also travels widely bringing the message of Satyananda Yoga throughout the world. He is dedicated to sharing inspiration, knowledge, and solid techniques to uplift humanity. He maintains a strong link with India with twice-yearly visits, during which he leads courses focused on topics such as Chakra Sadhana, Prana Vidya and Dharana. Swami Muktidharma’s understanding of yoga is practical and comes from personal experience over many years. He shares with humour and strength, touching the heart of many aspirants and inspiring them to gradually expand to their full potential.
He will lead sessions exploring Antar Mouna (meditation), and the Liberation of Prana (energy).
